Robin,
Ringing the NASDAQ bell–that’s a BIG thing in the US. Congrats…enjoy the tourney…enjoy every moment of it.
Good luck, mang!
You have left your mark on the U.S now Robin, HEJA!!!
Wishing you luck today. Try to stay off the social networking sites (here, Facebook and etc…I know it’s hard…I can’t get away from the PC, myself), get back in your “bubble” and do what you do best!
Sorry about the news, Robin. We hope you feel better. This summer also sucked for me (spent seven years on a project and had to give it up…right at the moment of success). Sh*t happens: you pick yourself up, dust off, right your head and get moving onward…
Really sorry for you, Robin. These things happen even to the best! Get well soon.
Hope to watch you play in Shanghai, Robin!
Mono is a six-month thing.
Djoko is out.
And the rest may “strike”.
As a tennis fan, I understand the grueling schedule.
You’ve never complained…you just said “no” and…hat it….now 44 and done (except, I get to play seniors at 45 here in Japan). New challenges from 45..
But–STRIKE?
I know the schedule is hard…but don’t join them–half will be insurance agents at my age, the other half playing with Goran. You only have 1-15 years…put up with it, enjoy it…and if you don’t like it…find a good reason to skip it. See ya in Shanghai…see ya in the 45+ tourneys! Just hope to see you play…
And…I really hope you get better soon, mang! I’ve never had mono, but my sister did as a kid–she was out of school for a while. I hope you’re already feeling better and you wrist is on the mend. I really think you have a good chance in Shanghai this year. The other players are really burnt out doing Davis Cup, I think.
And–try Korean Air. The first-class sleeper seats rock (flight attending are kinda nice, too
). Singapore Airlines–the flight attendant wear is just TOO distracting (no sleep). Anyhow, sorry for my usual babble…I just hope we can watch you play. We’ll be there for Rounds 1, 2 & 3, so it’ll give us a chance to see nearly every player…we hope!
Djoko, Fed and now Robin (ack!) are now out of Shanghai.
Bummer. I told my son that this will be probably be our only chance to see the best generation in tennis play competitively together….but that’s how it is…gotta make the best of it.
I hope you feel better soon, Robin! The stars didn’t align this year.
I used to be a big Rafa fan. Maybe I can warm-up to him again. Dolgopolov, Fish, Monfils are a few we hope to see, but you and Roger we’re the big reasons! WTA (and the grunting) isn’t my thing. Maybe we can watch juniors–and try to find the next Federer. *sigh*….Oh well.
Get well!
Get well soon Robin, mono is a long-term illness. Glad you haven`t rushed back into tennis, your best days are still ahead.
2012 will be your season.
C’mon Robin–give us EX-Facebook fans some news…I don’t want to go back there and have to read my ex-high school acquaintance’s first-born struggles…
My hope: aside from knowing that you belong in the ATP fnals: I hope that you’re with Fabrice Santoro in France getting to know the other side of the game that you haven’t mastered. Tomorrow, I play my LAST singles tourney before seniors (amateur). I want my pound of flesh–after all these years in Japan–and will certainly return the serve down the line into his backhand a la Soderling. Have to go to YouTube for some image training….
I need some more YouTube material. And you? You’re not made for golf…yet.
Get that Slam and…do what God tells you to do.
